VETERINARY TECHNICIAN

Professional fast-paced veterinary clinic in West Houston
Minimum 1-2 years veterinary technician experience - Certification a PLUS
Ability to follow directions, be a TEAM player with leadership skills
Initiative - Self Starter - High Energy - Outgoing - Friendly - Reliable
Ability to educate clients & make recommendations such as diets, explain life style changes that will benefit the client's pet, awareness of patient care such as dentals & twice a year exams, vaccination protocols.
Necessary skills:
- take vitals
- perform blood draws confidently
- run lab work (blood & urine)
- I.V. catheter placement
- preparation & assist in surgery
- radiology skills
- dentals & cleaning
- dispensing medication & administering medication
- set up surgical packs
- maintain equipment (Vettest, Vetlyte, Isoflurane, X-ray)
- detailed written documentation in the patients progress notes
Learn the Intravet software program
Basic computer skills and knowledge of keyboard functions

VETERINARY RECEPTIONIST

Professional fast pace veterinary clinic in West Houston
Previous experience in a veterinary clinic a PLUS
Must be able to handle busy phones with a cheerful voice, schedule appointments, documentation in client/pet charts, multi-task with great organizational skills.
Minimal handling of client's pet
Ability to follow directions & be a TEAM player
Initiative - Self Starter - High Energy - Outgoing - Friendly - Reliable
Ability to market products, services and information
Basic knowledge of computers and keyboard functions
MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 1 YEAR RECEPTIONIST EXPERIENCE
